In the 01-02 season perhaps no other high school recruit yeezy by adidas was more heralded than Dajuan Wagner. Juanny Wags chose Memphis which was a Reebok school at the time. Reebok had a nice stable of college hoop teams AND one of the NBA s brightest stars as the face of the brand in Allen Iverson. What better way to hype your new recruit and breathe new life into your program than shiny new unis with the I3 logo of Iverson . They had a redesign after the first year, then relinquished their relationship with Reebok for Adidas .

This time they ve re-upped with adidas Originals for a four colorway drop known as the  Tournament Edition 2.0 .While there are four models included in the set only two shoes are included, those being the adidas Originals Kegler Super and the adidas adidas yeezys Originals Nastase . As far as colorways go the palette is kept pretty neutral letting the quality of the leather used really shine and we are given various shades of Brown for a very warm fuzzy feel. One of my sneaker grails  if not THE GRAIL  is the adidas Team Zissou from the movie The Life Aquatic . No, this is not some hipster choice that grew up out of deranged fanboy love for all things Wes Anderson (the only other Anderson movie I ve ever seen is Rushmore ). The Life Aquatic came along during my college years; to say that it was a wacky period in my life would be an understatement. College is when you begin to see the world through adidas n.m.d a different lens .

So anyways, as Zissou  played by Bill Murray (sneakerheads know him as that other guy on the Tune Squad in Space Jam)  was gearing up for their latest expedition/documentary (see they re going to kill a Jaguar Shark because& eh, just watch the movie; it s probably streaming somewhere), there is a short scene where he receives their latest Team Zissou gear. One of the items was an exclusive colorway of the adidas Rom with Zissou branding.

Possibly, but much like when Zissou finally (redacted) the Jaguar Shark, who knows what my reaction would be if it actually does happen& Sneaker Grails is a recurring series on Kicks On Fire where our Editor-In-Chief Juan Martinez pines/complains for kicks that he will either never own or will have to go through extraordinary lengths to get. Previous entries have included the Bill Murray s adidas Team Zissous , the other Nike Air Penny 1 OG colorway and the Air Jordan 1  Chicago .

Every once in a while, I adidas n m d will scour the internets for an authentic (stitched on) Jordan jersey with the  45 number. Sometimes I ll come across remakes by Nike or adidas that kind of look the same but they just don t have the same feel as the Champion original. The same goes for the Air Jordan 10  Chicago and my futile search for samples with the  45 on them. I actually have a pair of 2012 retro (disclaimer: courtesy of Jordan Brand), but I have yet to wear them. Without the  45 , the shoes feels incomplete.
